All cottage food operators are required to complete an accredited course in basic food safety education. Your certification is good for two years. The course can be taken online or in person.
Additionally, if you have any employee who is not directly supervised by you, that person must also take an accredited course in basic food safety education. Members of your household are exempt from this requirement.
